I Am A Woman: A Poem By Mynd_44
Mynd_44: I am a woman, proud and beautiful
I am a woman, a mother to my kids
I am a woman, I change society
I am a woman, a superhuman
I cook, think, work, wash, clean, play doctor, pastor, psychologist, pediatrician, and prostitute
I am a woman and a human
I am a woman, a mortal
I am vulnerable to wear and tear
I am a woman, with heart torn in different places
I am a woman. I always get second pick
I am a woman, I feel some of the most painful things ever
I am a woman, I carry you for 9 months
I am a woman, at risk of being mollested
I am a woman, I need your respect
I am a woman, treat me like a queen.
I am a woman, it seems I am punished for it
I am a woman, abused by my spouse.
I am a woman, Insulted by my kids
I am a woman, subjugated by society
I am a woman, discriminated on by my folk
I am a woman, people listen to others before me
I am a woman, I am supposed to endure pain
I am a woman, I get home from work at 7pm, cook and clean until 9, have to wake up to feed my baby twice during the night and still have to wake up to make breakfast at 5am for this creature called man.
I am a woman, my rights are trampled on.
I am a woman, I can't dress as I want.
I am a woman, in some religions, I can be married of as a child without my consent
I am a woman, some religions actually accept my being beaten
I am a woman, I must be beneath this vile creature called man
I am a woman, in some countires, I can't drive
I am a woman, a man can marry more than one of me but I can't do same
I am a woman, the bible declares me unclean once a month and yet He who declared me unclean created this process that made me this way
I am a woman, I can't seat as I want.
I am a woman, I hide my sex drive so as not to be called losed.
I am a woman, a human.
I am a woman, I need choices.
I am a woman, I need rights
I am a woman, I have as much rights as you
I am a woman, I don't need your surname to be whole
I am a woman, strong and confident
I am a woman, proud, educated and fun loving
I am a woman, not defined by society,
I am a woman and a religious leader. Why can I preach to my kids and not take a leadership post in church?
I am a woman, why should I hate feminists when they have done more for women than all religious leaders, political leaders and traditional leaders put together?
I am a woman who will stand on my feet and be me.
I am a woman, and I will decide what defines me.
I am a woman, I carry a knife in my bag for you perverts
I am a woman, I will not be married off at age 12 to a craddle-robber
I am a woman, marry another woman after me and I will leave you
I am a woman, hit me and I will have you jailed.
I am a woman, I aspire for leadership
I am a woman, my body belongs to me. When I say no, I mean it.
I am but a humble woman who just asks to be treated equally
but for now,
I am a woman, beaten by he who promised to love and protect me yet his beating me is protected in some rules and guidlines made by a male God
I am a woman, I go ahead to make breakfast for my oppressor.
I am a woman. I just mistakenly added a few drops of cyanide into his food.
I am a woman...........
Yes, I am a woman
