FIFA Suspends Nigerian Coach from Football Activities for Two Years
The body governing football in the world, FIFA has suspended a Nigerian coach, Remi Amadi, for two years after he was found guilty for match-fixing.

The director of communications of the Nigerian Football Federation( NFF) ,Ademola Olajire, announced the news in a statement released on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021, according to reports from the cable.
According to reports, the coach confessed before the FIFA committee, saying he tried to manipulate the result of the match between Confine FC and Bussdor FC.
The match was played on March 15, 2021, at the University of Calabar Stadium as documented in an audio conversation between Amadi and the NFF committee.
The world body's Disciplinary Committee conveyed this decision to the NFF, and it is a consequence of a similar ban imposed on the coach by the Federation's Disciplinary Committee at its meeting of Aug. 16.
This was done through a letter dated Aug.25, requesting the Committee extend the sanction to have a worldwide effect, in title 66 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.
The ban started on October 5th, 2021 and it is expected to end on October 5th, 2023.
