Paris Saint-Germain's midfielder, Lionel Messi has tested positive for Covid-19 and will be ruled out of the club's next game.

The news of his positive Covid test was confirmed on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022. According to reports from PSG, two other players a( Juan Bernat, Sergio Rico and Nathan Bitumazala and a staff member also tested positive for the virus, they are all currently in isolation.

The Argentine will miss Monday's cup game and most like miss the League game against Lyon next Sunday, January 9th, 2022.

Messi has scored just a league goal since he joined PSG from Barcelona during the summer transfer window.
