Alex Iwobi reveals his favourite Nigerian artist
Alex Iwobi following his return to social media has put the Nigerian musical scene on fire with his latest reveal.
The midfielder for Premier League club Fulham was asked what type of music he preferred, whether English or Nigerian and he was quick to respond saying he preferred Nigerian music which is primarily Afrobeats.
The artist then answered another question saying that Wizkid was his favorite Nigerian artiste of all time. His response is rather significant especially following the rap video that fans believe to be a what he created.
Wizkid is a superstar in the Nigerian music industry with many awards to his name. He was the first male artist to receive a Grammy award for his hit collaboration Brown Skin Girl which he received alongside the queen of Pop, Beyoncé.
Speculations arise about Alex Iwobi’s future in the music industry. Regardless, it is without a doubt that the increased popularity and recognition of Afrobeats will do more good to the industry.
