Liam Rosenior clears the air on Enzo Fernández ahead of Man City clash
The head coach of Chelsea Football Club Liam Rosenior has given an update on Enzo Fernández and his situation with the club after his interview during the international break.
Liam Rosenior had initially confirmed that Enzo had been suspended for two games which were against PortsVale and Manchester City. However, the Englishman reconfirmed that the suspension still stands and the Argentine will not be available for the game against Manchester City.
He said,
Enzo will NOT play on Sunday. Hopefully after that, he will be a massive part. There is a few hurdles we need to overcome. We had a really good conversation. He's apologised to me, the club. We will deal with that after a massive game on Sunday”.
What happened between Enzo Fernández and Liam Rosenior?
Fernández was suspended by Chelsea after the series of interviews he had during the international break. The midfielder expressed his love for the city of Madrid but did not mention Real Madrid in any of his conversations.
What did Fernández say?
"I’d like to live in Spain. I really like Madrid; it reminds me of Buenos Aires. Players live where they want. I’d live in Madrid.”
Chelsea fans will hope their team can exploit the poor form of Manchester City in the league as they continue in their quest to finish in Champions league position.
