Adamawa State Governor, Bala Ngilari, has laud­ed the courage of the PDP screening com­mittee, which cleared him at the weekend in Bauchi State for the party gover­norship primary.

Daily Sun checks revealed that the party national working committee had initially zoned the governorship to Adamawa Central, a pronouncement that technically shut out the incum­bent governor from the race.

But just like the Adamu Mu’azu-led national leader­ship of the party reversed itself at the weekend on the dissolu­tion of the state chapter of the party, Governor Ngilari from Adamawa North Central was cleared ahead of the governor­ship primary.

Reacting, the governor praised the party for allowing wise counsel to prevail and noted that his clearance for the race was a sign of confidence in his capacity to lead the party to victory in the 2015 general elections.

He assured that the PDP in Adamawa State would go into the primaries and the general elections as a united family.

The governor promised to collaborate with the military to tackle the scary security situa­tion in Adamawa State.

“A bill would soon be for­warded to the state House of Assembly. The bill is in the draft stage and it is an issue that is dear to me. So, in the next few days, it will be ready for the consideration of the House.”
