George has repositioned South-West PDP – Ex PDP scribeFormer acting National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Charles Akintoye, has extolled the virtues of former National Vice Chairman of the party, Chief Bode George, over the success of the South West zonal unity rally of the party held recently in Lagos.
Dr Akintoye noted that the sterling qualities of Chief George have seen the party, which was hitherto in disarray in the zone, gathering momentum to sack the All Progressive Congress (APC) from the South West.
According to him, the rally held last Saturday has laid to rest, the claims that the party wasn’t strong in the South West, stressing, “ we are now united more than ever to deliver the zone from the dominion of the party that is holding us down.”
He carpeted those opposed to President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term ambition and urged the president to ignore the opposition and go for second term in order to finish the good work he has started.
“ President Jonathan has positioned the country on the path of greatness with his transformation agenda that is touching on all aspects of our national life. We should encourage him to continue and finish the good work he has started. He is taking the country to a high pedestal. Before long, Nigeria will be rubbing shoulders with developed nations,” Akintoye said.
